I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
